O Gracious Light
from Mountain Vespers, words and music by Tobias Stanislas Haller BSG
The serious and sometimes satirical reflections of a priest, poet, and pilgrim —
who knowing he has not obtained the goal, presses on in a Godward direction.

So. . .
I want scores!
The whole of Mountain Vespers is available in print from the Brotherhood of St Gregory. You can visit the BSG website and scroll down to "Publications Available" for an order form. It's a bargain, and helps support the work of BSG....
I tried doing a piano reduction of the string quartet but the software (Finale) is being weird. I promise to send same if I can get it to print in a meaningful way. Y'r welcome to a pdf of the full score anytime. Just send me yr email address.

Lovely!
can we get this one in youtube? the youtube viewer has the advantage of being more controllable, interfacing with subscriptions, and big video... ;)
it's a lovely montage tho, i really like the silence and bird noises before the music starts.
Thomas,
I'm still trying different things with Hipcast. I'm reluctant to use YouTube much because of the incredibly slow upload times. Hipcast does offer both larger format display and "players" with more features. I'll be experimenting with different sizes / formats. This is the smallest format offered. For the next video post I'll try a larger format with more controls.
Thanks for pointing us to the score! I'm looking forward to seeing and using this music.
Beautiful, Tobias.
Thanks once more for sharing your gifts, Brother Tobias.
