Sometimes a turning point is just a rotisserie: Dead meat on a spit, spinning and going nowhere.
I have a Showtime Rotisserie Oven in my kitchen. After about an hour of going in circles, the outside has seared a beautiful brown and is retaining the moist juices, but all of the fat has rendered away, offering us some of the most delicious and healthy dead meat you can find anywhere.
John 2007, What exactly is your definition of charity? It seems to me that to stand idly by in the face of manifest wrong is not always an option, particularly when the wrong is aimed in the direction of the defenseless and weak (and in the case of GAFCON I wonder if you've bothered to read the transcripts -- and if you have and find no difficulty with them, that's another matter).
I must also note that your own anonymous observations often have an edge of judgment to them -- or am I reading too much into your tu quoque?
John 2007, after the GAFCON transcripts and a long chat with Davis Mac-Iyalla, I do indeed not feel terribly charitable about GAFCON. I make absolutely no apologies for that.
If we cannot get our priorities right and combat violence against anyone for whatever reason as a first and foremost priority, we have no right to call ourselves Christians. What we may or may not think of same sex relationships comes way way down the list of priorities.
Fortunately for the Anglican Communion, GAFCON is making it more and more obvious where its priorities lie. And it's not a pretty picture.

This is what St Paul had to say about charity:
