Thought for 06.27.09

When and why we gather

If there is nothing trivial in life,
if every bird and blade of grass
and hair on every head is known,
then how much more should we respect
those solemn moments when we know
God’s presence with us as we gather,
and learn thereby to bear that knowledge with us
when we go in peace, to love and serve,
to recognize God's presence
in all times and places?

  1. Well then, yes, of course. Nicely put to verse, Tobias.
