Bats actually serve a social, biological and economic purposes. Their pest control services could be valued in the billions of dollars. They perform pollination services, and bat guano is a popular fertilizer. Can ideologues claim any of these benefits?

Eleanor, I'm not so sure that ideologues do much in the way of pest control, but I do think they rival our wing-fingered friends in the guano department. ;-)

I doubt whether ideologue BS is as useful on the garden as guano.

Robert, I think some studies show it to be either toxic or to promote excessive growth of "suckers" as the rose-tenders call them, or leaf burn... ;-)
