Given the curved surface, I would think that looking out from inside a bubble would give the viewer a distorted view of the outside world.

PsP., if I'm remembering my optics, that would depend on the thickness of the bubble, and its regularity, and the index of refraction of the material. If uniform in thickness, and relatively thin and with a small refractive capacity, I think it would be analogous to sunglasses, but untinted. The viewer might not even be aware of his or her own bubble. I'll check with Don Ho... ;-)
